VOLUNTEERS
ARE THE VERY HEART OF THE
THUNDER BAY BOYS & GIRLS CLUB

Volunteers play an important frontline role in all facets of our Programs and Services.  We have over 60 volunteers who dedicate their time and skills to our members.  Lakehead University and Confederation College make a significant contribution through their volunteer efforts.  After the interview and criminal check, you can begin participating in ensuring the health and happiness of Thunder Bay youth.
 
Our Main Club is moving closer to LU. Students please keep us in mind when you are looking for volunteer opportunities.
 
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
  • Making a difference in the lives of the children and youth we serve is a self serving experience.
  • Gain valuable experience working with youth between the age of 4-18.
  • Gain teaching experience through our tutoring program.
  • Meet new people who also have a love of children.
  • Get Active - learn new games / Build on your resume.
  • Participate in our regular Volunteer Appreciation Days.
  • Work towards receiving your 40 hours of Community Service Work you need to complete for High School.  

  


STEPS TO BECOMING A VOLUNTEER
 
1. Fill out application form online or drop by the Club in person to pick up a form.

2. Request a Criminal Records Check from the Police Station

3. The Interview with our Volunteer Coordinator

4. Start making a difference in the lives of our members.
